Round Marble Floor Design

This big group of tiles fits together to form a complex circular pattern on your floor. It looks especially good with border tiles either from the black and white set below, or with the border tiles that come with the house of the dolphin. As always, please remember that due to game limitations, the pattern will only display correctly from the rotation at which it was installed. Make sure you find your favorite rotation for viewing the house before you lay this tile.

Black and White Marble Flooring

Here is a new collection of black and white marble floor tiles. Both the feather pattern and the wave border are taken from actual Roman mosaics that used such patterns. The wave border is known as a Vitruvian Scroll in design terms. Both the feather and wave patterns were originally done on pebble mosaics, but these have been adapted to marble. I have also included a plain black and white marble tile for even more versatility. These great tiles will go anywhere and look great.

These floor tiles all come from the House of the Dolphin. There are no mosaics, but each tile creates a different design using colored marbles. I have created all of the tiles myself, many from my own imagination. This pack includes many floor tiles, as well as a set of border tiles in tan and white marble for surrounding the fancier pattern tiles. All of them will look excellent in any room of the house.

This is a selection of marble flooring. It works well in any room of a Roman house, but is especially effective in the atrium or in the bathroom.

Basic Mosaic

Here are nine tiles for making basic mosaics. They combine well with other floors available here and will work in almost any room of the house. Note: Because of the way The Sims has been created, complex floors that must fit together a certain way to work will only view correctly from the house orientation they were installed in. When you rotate your house any other way, the tiles will not rotate with the house, thus destroying the mosaic. This is the fault of the designers, so everyone complain and perhaps we can get this fixed in the expansion.

This is not really a floor tile, but it will allow you to create flat roofs for one story parts of your house and comes in very handy, especially since roofs can only be made to cover completely enclosed areas.  

Egyptian Floor Mosaic

These twenty tiles form a 5 x 4 mosaic to improve any room of your house. This scene was taken from a floor in a Roman house and though the detail may appear too fine to look like a mosaic, it is one. This file contains twenty different tiles so make sure you have plenty of room in your floors directory before downloading this one.

These two tiles are left out of any of my other groups so I am including them together. The wood floor is basic and comes in Home Crafter, but in case you don't have it, you will need it for many of the houses on this site. The other ( not shown ) is a single mosaic tile from a bedroom in a Pompeiian house which I have used in several of my house designs, so you will need it to view these houses correctly.
